Junior Librarians
The Role of a Junior Librarian
Our Junior Librarians play an important part in helping to keep our school library a welcoming and organised space for everyone. They are pupils who love books and enjoy encouraging others to read. Their responsibilities include:
*Helping classmates find books that match their interests and reading levels.
*Keeping the library tidy, making sure books are returned to the right shelves.
*Assisting with borrowing and returning books, using the library system under supervision.
*Promoting reading by recommending favourite stories and helping with book displays.
*Supporting library events, such as World Book Day, the sponsored reading challenges or book fairs.
*Being a Junior Librarian is a great way to develop leadership skills, learn responsibility, and share a love of reading with the whole school community.
