Health & Safety Champions

Pupil health and safety champions are students who promote health and safety in their school environment: 

• Responsibilities

They may create posters, raise awareness in assemblies, and support the Health and Safety Officer with checks and Risk Assessments. They may also discuss health and safety concerns with the head teacher. 

• Qualities

Our H&S Champions are proactive, good communicators, and knowledgeable about safety procedures. 

• Benefits

They help create a safe learning environment for their peers. They also help students understand risk and how to deal with it. 

• Interaction

They meet termly with the Health and Safety Officer and Head teacher. They also raise awareness of issues like keeping corridors clear, handwashing, and road safety.
