Volunteering
We are always so grateful for the incredible support we receive from our volunteers. Whether it’s helping out in school, accompanying us on trips, participating in community events, or reading with our wonderful pupils, your contributions make a world of difference.
For our children, having an adult to read to in school fosters a love of reading, strengthens their literacy skills, and promotes a deeper understanding of language and emotions. It also builds confidence, improves communication, and strengthens the bond between children and adults.
As we continue to foster a nurturing environment for our pupils, we recognise the need for more helping hands. If you or anyone you know is interested in volunteering, we would love to hear from you! Every bit of assistance makes our school community stronger and even more vibrant.
Becoming a volunteer in a school is very much like becoming a member of staff. An application form, reference checks, declarations and enhanced DBS are required to ensure the rules of safeguarding and child protection are in place for every adult helping at school. This process can be time consuming and costly to the school so we kindly ask that you complete all the relevant forms and checks once the process begins.
If you would like to apply to be one of our volunteers, have any questions about any of the above or do not receive the forms and links once you have applied please do not hesitate to contact us at personnel@perins.hants.sch.uk, we would be very happy to help.
Thank you for your ongoing support, and for being an essential part of our school family!
