SEND Policy

The entire school community of Sun Hill Junior School is committed to providing a safe, secure environment in which all can flourish. We are passionate about supporting the needs of all children so that each and every child is equally included in the life of our school and that diversity, respect and tolerance are celebrated.

We strongly believe in the importance of the well-being of our extended school family – families, trustees and our local community – and our role in supporting this.

We aim to:

  • Identify and provide for children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

  • Be ambitious in the wide learning curriculum and beyond for all children

  • Support and work alongside the families of those with SEND

  • Keep the child at the centre of our support and actions.
