School closure in the event of bad weather
In the event of bad weather which poses a risk to staff and/or pupils (who live beyond walking distance) arriving or leaving the school site or that the school site is deemed unsafe then a decision can be made by The Chair of Trustees from The Perins MAT that a school closure is required. A decision to action a school closure will also impact any wrap-around care or clubs running at this time.
We will endeavour to text and email parents and will also place a notice on the front page of our website https://www.sunhilljs.net/ It will also be posted on the hantsweb
We may be required to ask parent/carers to collect their child before the end of the school day
Access onto the school site may be limited to a single exit and entry route.

Other school closures: The only way to notify parents of an unavoidable closure before the school day has started is via email and text. If the closure is due to circumstances occurring after the school day has begun, children will be kept in school until parents are notified or permission has been given for their child(ren) to go home with another adult.
